It only moves when you look away. The job is looking away.

No generative AI. Every light is computed, every sound procedural.

You're sealed in a dying server vault with one flashlight and a purge quota. The warden running this place wants its corrupted sectors purged before the clock expires. The terminals are in the dark.

So is something else.

Your light freezes it. Your work needs that same light. Ration one beam between two deadlines, and listen to the part of the dark you're not watching.

  • One light, two jobs. The beam that pins the thing is the beam the work needs.
  • A director, not a dice roll. The warden studies how you work, then times its cruelty.
  • The whip-back. Snap the light back and it's right there, frozen an arm's length away.
  • Migraine-safe. No strobes, no flashing, no screamer roulette.
  • 10–15 minutes, free. Shift 1 of a longer paid run.

The loop

Pin it. Your cone holds it where it stands. The beam drains. The purge stalls.

Work it. Aim at a terminal and the view drops to the monitor: heads-down, blind, the room gone.

Watch the glass. The dark screen holds a reflection. It's the only warning you get, and the one you'll learn to hate.

The whip-back. The sound spikes. You snap the light back, and it's right there, frozen an arm's length away.

That last moment is the game.

The warden is a director, not a dice roll

It studies how you work, waits until you're deepest in the task, then times its cruelty. Every cruelty telegraphs. Every death is an out-play, never a cheat.

This free shift runs one warden. The full career adds more, each with its own tells: one starves you of sound, one corrupts your readouts (the threat never lies; the paperwork does), one simply tightens the clock.

Migraine-safe horror

Dread without the strobe. No flashing, no shaky-cam, no screamer roulette. The fear here is built from attention, audio and silence: what you can't afford to watch, and what you can hear getting closer. Every frame is flash-safety checked.

Nothing here was generated

No generative AI in any art, sound, or music. Every light is computed, every sound is procedural, every cruelty is designed. The capsule and every screenshot are frames captured live from the game itself.

Shift 1 is free. The career is coming.

Your first shift: one vault sector, one warden, the full loop, 10–15 minutes if you live.

The full run is the career. A ladder of shifts that escalate in rules, not just speed: deeper sectors, new wardens with new tells, and an endgame that rewrites the contract. Coming to Steam.

Wishlist the full run on Steam → The warden will know where to find you.

Play in your browser, or download a single .exe for Windows. No installer. Mouse and keyboard. 10–15 minutes.

This free shift keeps a play-log: rounds played, where you died, how long you lasted. No accounts, no names, no IP addresses, just a random install id so one machine's rounds line up. Turn it off in Settings and it sends nothing and wipes that id. No third parties ever see it, and the raw log is deleted after 90 days. It exists so we can see where the fear sags.

Nice game!

Thanks for playing! You're one of the first people to actually touch this, so that's a good feeling. If you've got a second: did the warden get you, or did you clear the shift? Trying to work out whether the flashlight rationing lands as tension or just feels stingy.

I got caught multiple times but it looks like you want some feedback, i have a discord server with other devs who can give you feedback on your game, discord server is in my creator profile hope to see you there

Sounds good, I'll check it out
